THE QUASI KINGS (reggae/rock/hip-hop, Columbus OH)

Formed in Columbus, OH in the Spring of 2016, the band has quickly “cemented its place as the sprawling, multi-instrumental next generation of Columbus reggae.” (Columbus Dispatch). Their debut EP “Throwaway Culture”, released in late 2018, showcases a unique blend of roots reggae and modern styles, while emphasizing strong songwriting and vocal harmonies. The band, led by brothers Zach (vocals, saxophone, percussion) and Benny Coleman (vocals, bass), vary in age, musical backgrounds and taste, leading to a diverse sound with influences from well beyond reggae.
